01 Jun DIY Tuesday: Inspirational Word Painted Home Decor
I have been so inspired recently by the Hay House World Summit and motivational speakers such as Gabby Bernstein and Wayne Dyer. I regularly listen to the Law of Attraction and A Course in Miracles on Audible. Many of the spiritual leaders talk about the importance of positive self-talk in attracting abundance and happiness.
I decided to put signs up around my house to keep me motivated and on track. I am working with a business coach who is getting me to create a schedule to become more organized. I’ve always considered myself a disorganized and somewhat scatter-brained creature until now. I am making signs that say “I am extremely organized” and “I enjoy being organized, it comes easy to me” and putting them throughout my house and workspace.
I just created a DIY video to make your own mini paintings with inspirational words. You can create simple and powerful paintings with an abstract backgrounds and positive words stencilled on top. All you need is a mini canvas or board (or even a pillow cover), MacTac, acrylic paint and a sponge. Check out the tutorial here:
Start by StARTing tip: Make your own inspirational painting to hang on your wall. If you do not have the materials or paints, simply type an inspirational word in a fancy font on any Word program and print it in a bright colour on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper or cardstock. Put it in a frame or just sticky tac it to your wall!
